A new approach to environmental education
Climate change is one of the biggest challenges of our time. Unfortunately, many young people struggle to connect with traditional environmental education. To change that, we created the Green Saga project to introduce an innovative approach that mixes climate awareness with immersive storytelling to engage youth to take action for a sustainable future.
The need for a new perspective
Educational methods often focus on theory without really engaging people. Understanding climate issues requires more than knowledge, it needs active participation. Green Saga aims to bridge this gap by integrating adventure-based learning into environmental education.
Our proposition
Our project gives young people interactive educational tools that make climate learning more dynamic and impactful. The project will:
- Develop 15 adventure books that simulate real-world environmental challenges which encourage decision-making and critical thinking
- Offer a user guide and materials to help youth workers and teachers implement the learning tools
- Train 10 youth workers and involve 140 young people in testing the materials to ensure that they are engaging and effective
- Translate the materials into six languages to improve accessibility and reach
- Organize dissemination events in five partner countries to spread awareness and encourage youth to participate
Green Saga transforms climate awareness from a passive lesson into an engaging and meaningful experience by mixing storytelling with environmental education.
What we want to achieve
Our main goal is to inspire and equip young people with the knowledge and skills to participate in sustainability efforts. Our objectives are:
- Strengthening environmental awareness and responsibility among young people
- Encouraging critical thinking and decision-making by focusing on interactive learning
- Giving teachers and educators innovative teaching tools for climate education
- Promoting inclusivity by making sure that resources are accessible to students with specific learning difficulties (SLD)
Thanks to our partners across Europe, our project will empower a new generation to be conscious about the environment and ready to take action to fight climate change.
